Skiers in Norway and Sweden are suspected of manipulating lubricants

Russia (bbabo.net) - Skiers from Norway and Sweden are suspected of using prohibited lubricants with fluorinated products. According to NRK, this could have happened during the Scandinavian Cup from January 7 to 9. At the same time, the names of potential violators were not disclosed.

According to Pierre Minieri, director of cross-country skiing at the International Ski Federation, a number of skiers used lubricants with perfluorooctanoic acid, which is not prohibited by the Scandinavian Cup regulations, but still violates the principle of fair play.

"All federations have previously signed an agreement that these lubricants will not be used at FIS tournaments. Formally, this was not a violation at that tournament. And this must be referred to the FIS council or the FIS tribunal if we want something to do with this ", - quotes NRK as saying Minieri.
