The incident took place on the evening of January 8 in the city of Torzhok. The regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said that the boy collided with a tree while riding down a slide on the Tvertsa River.

- A juvenile with various bodily injuries was immediately hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a local hospital, - the department said.

Upon the child's injury, the Torzhok Interdistrict Investigation Department conducts a pre-investigation check, all the circumstances of the incident are established.

- The scene of the incident was examined, a number of necessary examinations were appointed, eyewitnesses of the incident were interviewed. Based on the results of the inspection, a procedural decision will be made, - the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee clarified.

Representatives of the department remind residents that safety rules must be observed when skiing down the slides. In particular, ride on specially prepared areas, before riding, carefully study the terrain to make sure that the slide and descent are safe and that there are no trees, street lighting poles or fences next to the hill.
