Chesnokov on Djokovic: are you a bum or Jesus Christ, for Australians everyone should be equal

The famous tennis player and coach Andrei Chesnokov criticized the Australian authorities because of the situation in which the first racket of the world Novak Djokovic found himself on the eve of the Austalian Open.

An athlete may not take part in the tournament due to the fact that he does not have a vaccination against coronavirus infection - at the same time, according to Novak himself, he had been ill in December and he has a medical withdrawal from the vaccination. Chesnokov sees no logic in the sanitary rules that are established in Australia.

“I myself have had this virus. I stayed with my wife constantly when she was sick - for three weeks. Then I didn't get sick. After I had been ill myself, I asked the doctor if I needed a vaccination. He replied that after an illness, in theory, vaccination is not needed, because there are antibodies. And when a vaccination is done in such a situation, an overdose is obtained for the body, this is bad.

Of course, if a person has not been ill with covid, he should be vaccinated. But in Australia, as I understand it, they rested their horns: it should be so, but it cannot be otherwise. This situation with Djokovic and the Australian authorities is disgusting to me. I understand that the Australians do not care about my opinion - but, it seems to me, they care about everything.

Okay, so what about people who have cancer and want to return to Australia? They are also not allowed? After all, vaccination is contraindicated for such people, their immunity is already weakened, they simply can die from vaccination.

I'm not a doctor, but I roughly understand the situation - it's absurd. The man is ill! And for Australians it doesn't matter at all whether you are a bum or Jesus Christ - everyone should be equal, and that's all. But this equality is not entirely logical, there are people who have already suffered the disease. Moreover, Djokovic has all the documents and conclusions. And, probably, doctors know more than politicians, ”said Chesnokov.

Novak tried to use the type of visa that does not allow medical removal from coronavirus when entering Australia. His visa was canceled, the Serb appealed and won the court.

However, there is still a possibility that he will be deported: officials can file a return appeal, because, according to a representative of the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization, the transferred coronavirus is not a basis for obtaining a medical exception.

Earlier it was reported that the Australian border service again detained Djokovic in Melbourne.
