Alcohol producers have warned of an increase in prices for spirits, Izvestia writes.

So, the company JSC "Tatspirtprom" expects an increase in prices for vodka, cognac by 5.50 rubles per 0.5 liters, and JSC "Bashspirt" noted that the price of a bottle of vodka is expected to rise by 15–20 rubles.

Since the new year, the excise tax on strong alcoholic beverages will be increased - by 4.60 rubles, to 589 rubles per liter of anhydrous ethyl alcohol in an excisable product. In general, the rise in prices for vodka and cognacs in the coming months may amount to 8–12%, for Russian wines 10–25%, and for imported ones - 15–30%.

The main reasons for the producers are the level of inflation, the rise in the cost of fuel and components, as well as the poor harvest of the last year in many wine-making zones of the world and the growth of tariffs for logistics.

Meanwhile, beer, according to the Association of Beer Producers, will rise in price slightly - by an average of one ruble due to the rise in the cost of malt.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the increase in alcohol prices is a matter of economic feasibility. Prior to that, the Ministry of Finance of Russia proposed to raise the minimum retail price for vodka to 261 rubles starting from the new year. for 0.5 liters.
