Muscovites stopped taking a second PCR test for COVID-19 after recovery

A repeat PCR test for COVID-19 was no longer taken from Muscovites after recovery. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a number of clinics and call centers for coronavirus.

Doctors at one of the Moscow polyclinics said that at the moment a second PCR test after quarantine is not required. Doctors from another polyclinic in the capital reported that “no one is taking repeated tests now,” and quarantine will close automatically.

In addition, one of the operators of the Moscow coronavirus hotline said that they should take a second PCR test on the 10-11th day, offering to contact the clinic or the mos.ru portal for details. Another operator clarified that a repeat PCR test has not been carried out since January 24.

Earlier, the co-chairman of the All-Russian Union of Patients, neurologist Yan Vlasov, said that in order to increase the availability of testing for coronavirus, PCR tests should be legally made free and regular.
