Russia (bbabo.net), - Rospotrebnadzor told how often minors end up in the hospital with "omicron". Severe forms of COVID-19 are very rare - less than one percent of cases. Hospitalizes about 3 percent of the total number of infected.

“Children carry a coronavirus infection caused by the Omicron strain, most often in a mild form,” says Tatyana Ruzhentsova, Deputy Director for Clinical Work at the Gabrichevsky Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.

She recalled the symptoms of children infected with the Omicron strain: runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, severe weakness, headache, lack of appetite.

"Some patients report hoarseness, diarrhea, rash," RIA Novosti quoted the expert as saying.

Children, like adults, often carry the infection asymptomatically. Such cases are from 17 to 40 percent, the figure depends on the region of the country.
