The Babushkinsky court in Moscow arrested for two months the ex-head of the Federal Property Management Agency for the Moscow Region, Nikolai Peshkov, in a criminal case, RIA Novosti reports, citing court spokesman Alexander Savelyev.

Peshkov was detained until March 25 on charges of taking a bribe, he faces up to 12 years in prison.

According to the investigation, the former head of the Federal Property Management Agency received a bribe from a businessman for "assistance."

“The bribe was a payment for a hotel room during a vacation at one of the resorts of the Russian Federation,” said Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee.

Previously, in Krasnoyarsk, a senior lecturer at the Siberian State University of Science and Technology. M.F. Reshetneva will stand trial for 22 counts of accepting bribes from students and nine counts of mediation.
