The Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) has submitted an application to the Ministry of Health for the use of the MIR 19 drug for outpatient treatment of patients with coronavirus infection. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the agency.

“The FMBA has submitted a dossier to the Ministry of Health of Russia to obtain permission for a post-registration clinical trial of a drug for the treatment of a new coronavirus infection MIR 19,” the press service said.

The FMBA noted that MIR 19 will be applied in the first days after a positive test for COVID-19.

At the end of December, MIR-19 was included in the 14th version of guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. In the updated section "Etiotropic treatment", nirmatrelvir in combination with ritonavir also appeared. Probably, we are talking about the drug Paxlovid, developed by Pfizer.
