In total, more than four thousand pieces of computer equipment worth about half a billion rubles were found and seized. The amount of material damage caused is established by specialists from Rosseti North Caucasus - Dagenergo.

The press service of the company said that in 2021, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies in Dagestan, 25 cases of mining theft of electricity during the extraction of cryptocurrency for a total of 130 million rubles were detected.

"This year, the branch of Rosseti North Caucasus - Dagenergo will continue the fight against illegal consumption of electricity by mining farms. The energy company and representatives of the law enforcement block of the republic have drawn up a schedule of inspections of settlements in which energy consumption has increased significantly for no objective reasons, there will be checks for illegal connections," a spokesman for the company said.
