Compared to December 2021, passenger cars have risen in price by an average of 8% (79 thousand rubles). Compared to January 2021, the average price of used cars increased by 52% (or 361 thousand rubles). Over the year, used cars in Russia have become 1.5 times more expensive.

“Prices for used cars in our country have been growing for more than a year, since September 2020. In addition to the inflationary component, the rise in prices in the secondary market is spurred by a shortage of new cars from dealers caused by a global shortage of semiconductors. Against this background, the Russians are more actively monitoring the market for used cars: demand is growing, and prices are also rising, ”the experts noted.
