Russia (bbabo.net) - Two physical education teachers from Surgut were found guilty of causing death by negligence due to improper performance of their professional duties. The verdict has entered into force.

Recall that the tragedy occurred in February 2021. Junior student drowned in the pool during class. At this point, the children were without the supervision of teachers. The boy was taken away in an ambulance, he later died in the hospital.

According to the press service of the Surgut City Court, the criminal case was considered in a special manner, that is, without examining the evidence in the case. The crime belongs to the category of minor gravity, in addition, the court took into account mitigating circumstances - repentance, cooperation with the investigation, partial compensation for moral damage, sports success and the presence of children in one of the defendants.

So, one teacher was sentenced to two years and two months of restriction of freedom with deprivation of the right to work as a teacher for two years, the second - restriction of freedom for two years and a ban on teaching for the same period.

While serving their sentence, teachers will not be able to change their place of residence and travel outside Surgut without the consent of government agencies. Once a month, men must report to the supervisory authority.
