According to her, the judges began to hear the arguments of the employees of Rosprirodnadzor, and they, in turn, learned to defend their legitimate demands in cases of environmental protection. "People have lost their fear of protecting the environment, they no longer think that nothing can be proven," Radionova added.

She hopes that the record claim for reimbursement by Norilsk Nickel of almost 150 billion rubles after the accident in Norilsk will remain a record one. At the very least, its employees are doing everything possible for this, and the business was affected, among other things, by the gigantic amount that the oversight of the state of the fuel tank of the boiler house cost.

Yet the problems still persist. According to Radionova, the same "Norilsk Nickel" emissions into the air amount to 1.8 million tons per year. The second in this list is the whole city, but there the volume is 60 times less than that of one company.

“If you collect all these emissions in the form of a powder, you get 30,000 railway cars,” said Svetlana Radionova. “Other companies have their own problems: our inspector came to the plant, collected 240 violations. More than half of them are “paper”. There is no reporting, no some documents are filled out, others. The most surprising thing, adds the head of Rosprirodnadzor, is that they knew about the arrival of the inspection for a year, but they did not prepare for it.

“It causes the wildest irritation,” she concluded.
