At the same time, the expert expressed concern that if the booster dose is administered too often, for example, every four months, there is ultimately a risk of facing an immune response problem. "We must be careful not to overload the immune system. And of course, there is a risk that the population will simply get tired of the constant introduction of boosters," added Cavaleri, whose words are reported by TASS.

That is why the WHO proposes to think about the introduction of boosters with a long period of time. In an ideal scenario, revaccination against coronavirus, according to Marco Cavaleri, should be carried out once a year with the onset of cold weather, by analogy with influenza vaccination.

Earlier, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said that almost 11 million Russians had already undergone revaccination. He also informed that 759 thousand Russians were vaccinated during the New Year holidays - about 70 thousand a day.
