Weaker Steam Deck, but much more expensive

Aya Neo Portable Console with Ryzen 5 4600U APU and Windows 10 originally came out more than two years ago. And today the company has presented a full-fledged new model.

AyaNeo Next (the name is now spelled in one piece) will appear no earlier than March, and a crowdfunding campaign will be launched in February. Despite today's announcement of a really very suitable Ryzen 6000U APU, the new console will use the Ryzen 7 5800U. The company explains this by the fact that it would have to wait for its portion of the new AMD processors almost until the end of the year.

And although the Ryzen 7 6800U in terms of GPU performance is twice the same as the Ryzen 7 5800U, the latter is still noticeably faster than the Ryzen 5 4600U.

As for the rest of the specifications, the set-top box received a seven-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 16 or 32 GB of RAM, a 1 or 2 TB SSD, a 47 Wh battery, two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, a Wi-Fi adapter 6E and fingerprint reader.

It is also the first, according to the creators themselves, a portable console where Hall sensors are used both on sticks and on triggers. In addition, the sticks are replaceable here.

In terms of pricing, the console will run between $ 1,315 and $ 1,565, although it can be purchased for less as part of a crowdfunding campaign. Compared to the Steam Deck, the prices seem exorbitant, especially considering that the Valve console will be more productive, but the excitement around this console is so great that it is completely unclear when most gamers will be able to get it at the recommended prices or close to them.
