Google Chrome killed Noscript

Today at 12:00 Moscow time, many sites in Google Chrome stopped working for me. In particular, Gmail and Youtube sites stopped opening. On e, for example, drop-down lists in the menu stopped working.

When you try to enter a problematic site, it either does not open at all (a white page is shown), or Javascript does not work, therefore the site is displayed incorrectly, the menus do not work, the buttons are not pressed. At the same time, the Noscript icon shows the numbers "1" or "2" - the number of blocked resources that have access to this page of the site. But when you click on the Noscript icon, the list of resources shows that none of them are blocked (everyone is allowed to access the page).

By manipulating the extensions, it was found out that the cause of the problems is precisely in the NoScript extension. After disabling the extension in Chrome, the latter works flawlessly, sites open. Visiting the NoScript page on the Chrome Web Store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions) shows that the extension has been removed from the store (see screenshot below).

A cursory search of news resources, including y, yielded no results. Found only one fresh thread on Reddit on this issue, where I have already described my experience.

It would be a pity if such a useful tool as Noscript, which perfectly cuts out infuriating ads and phishing-virus scripts, goes into oblivion.

I'm monitoring the situation.

update. On the official NoScript forum they write that the problem affected all browsers on the Chromium engine (which is not surprising). In Firefox, the extension works as before. Reddit comments recommend scriptblock as an alternative to NoScript.
