Huawei has introduced a new Huawei MateBook 16 laptop in Russia. The novelty is aimed at a variety of users - from busy managers to schoolchildren and students. With a bright and wide 16-inch 2.5K screen, the device is suitable for anyone who works with graphics or just wants to enjoy high-quality pictures while watching movies and other content.

The MateBook 16's screen, which is immediately eye-catching, is worthy of a more detailed description. It occupies 90% of the front surface of the cover and is capable of displaying 1.07 billion colors, covering 100% of the sRGB color gamut.

Moreover, the new device is the first in its class with color reproduction certified by the German company TÜV Rheinland (an international concern that is one of the world leaders in providing independent audit services). A separate advantage is the low level of blue radiation and the absence of flicker, which is also confirmed by certificates and is especially important for comfortable work in the dark.

Another useful feature of the screen is the 3:2 aspect ratio, which allows more content to fit into one scroll. This allows you to conveniently work with sites or documents, view folders with photos.

Metal, glass and style

In Russia, Huawei MateBook 16 will be sold in a stylish space gray color. The durable metal case has a thickness of 17.8 mm, and the weight of the novelty is 1.99 kg, which makes the gadget quite compact given the wide diagonal of the screen. So that the user can open the laptop with one hand, the engineers have provided it with improved hinges. Another interesting feature of the device is the ultra-large glass touchpad, which provides a smooth and comfortable interaction with the content on the screen.

Powered by the energy-efficient 7nm AMD Ryzen™ 5800H processor, the laptop is capable of multi-tasking. To prevent the device from overheating, it was equipped with an updated Huawei Shark Fin cooling system. Two over 75mm (almost palm-width) fans with shark fin blades, an articulated air intake and dual heatpipes effectively evacuate hot air from the processor. At the same time, as the manufacturer assures, the device does not make noise.

If necessary, the processor can be overclocked to maximum performance by enabling a special mode with a heat sink up to 54 watts. When you no longer need to work at the maximum, the MateBook 16 can be returned to the balanced power mode to save battery.

Huawei's signature feature is the fingerprint scanner built into the power button of the MateBook 16. As in other modern laptops of the brand, this option ensures the safety of data stored on the computer, which, after setting up protection, can only be accessed by their owner.

The gadget is also equipped with a dual microphone with smart noise reduction, capable of capturing the owner's voice at a distance of up to 5 meters.

Productivity and Interaction

According to Brand Pulse, in 2021, 86% of laptop users were primarily interested in the degree of autonomy of their devices.
