Yandex.Market will spend 270 million rubles to promote its pickup points

The company "Yandex" intends to spend 270 million rubles. to increase Yandex.Market advertising on TV and signs next to the points of issue of orders. By the end of 2022, the company intends to double the number of branded pickup points.

The press service of "Yandex" reports that customers who pick up their orders from the pickup point will receive an increased cashback with internal points of the platform. Thus, the company wants to increase the popularity of pickup points and the number of pickups.

From the beginning of February, pickup point owners will receive up to 12% of the order value. However, their earnings will depend on the region, turnover and time since the opening of the point. Representatives of the company say that in order to adapt the new pick-up point, it will be possible to work at the maximum tariff for the first 1-3 months.

Such conditions also apply to payment for the delivery of orders that were carried out by the point of issue itself.

As of July 2021, Yandex had 2,000 pickup points, of which 500 were located in Moscow.

This week, the company announced the possibility of returning orders from Yandex.Market via Russian Post. You can issue a refund through the personal account of the platform and return the parcel to any of the 38 thousand post offices. Money for the order will be returned after verification within 10 days.

In December last year, Yandex.Market and the research company GfK Rus presented the results of a survey that showed that Russians named the ability to compare products as the main advantage of marketplaces — 55%. The most popular way to receive orders among respondents was pickup from a pickup point or a store — about 65%.
