-30 °C outside and up to +33 °C inside: Weimar M7 2022 electric car passed the freezing test

Last autumn, Weimar Motor officially announced the Weimar M7 2022 electric car, which was tested at an air temperature of -30 ° C. Today, such a test is becoming more and more popular. It shows how the car is suitable for use in our latitudes.

According to official data, thanks to the distributed architecture battery thermal management system, the Weimar M7 2022 consumes only 17 kWh per 100 km at this temperature.

The M7 air conditioning system is specially optimized for extreme hot and cold weather. During the test, the temperature in the car interior was maintained in a comfortable temperature range of about 22°C for the head and 33°C for the legs. At an air temperature of -30 °C, this comfortable cabin temperature can be reached in 17 minutes. The energy consumption of the Weimar M7 2022 air conditioning system is only 3% under normal conditions, and rises to 10% in extremely hot and cold conditions.

The Weimar M7 2022 has been freeze tested for 12 hours at -30°C. After that, it starts normally, and the climate control system also quickly heats up the car. It is noteworthy that the car supports fast charging: from 30 to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The technical part of the sedan is represented by three electric motors in accordance with the third generation Living Motion energy system. Measurements showed that the cruising range was 560 km at -30 ° C. Under normal conditions, the power reserve is more than 700 km.

Sales of the car will begin this year.
