Chinese automaker Chery Automobile today unveiled its new hybrid family crossover, the Chery Tiggo 8 Plus Kunpeng e+.

Although the main details were already known before the official debut, the main thing was announced today - prices. Chery Tiggo 8 Plus Kunpeng e+ starts at $23,904. More expensive equipment will cost $26,108. The company has begun accepting pre-orders.

The car received a Kunpeng hybrid system with a 1.5TCI turbocharged engine and Kunpeng DHT hybrid technology. The car is equipped with a triple lithium battery, which alone provides a range of 100 km. At the same time, fuel consumption in hybrid mode is 1 liter per 100 km according to the European NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) methodology. Consumption when driving only on gasoline - 5 liters per 100 km.

There are nine operating modes in total. Other specifications have also been officially confirmed, such as acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, a total maximum torque of 565 Nm, and a maximum system power of 240 kW (326 hp).
