Mikhail began photographing the night sky relatively recently, but has already won the hearts of Russians - three exhibitions, publication on the official resources of National Geographic Russia.
- The fact is that as a child, my brother and I were fond of astronomy - we collected telescopes, looked at the starry sky, at the moon. Since then, this hobby has remained with us - my brother works at the Astrophysics Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the North Caucasus, - Mikhail told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
According to Severodvince, he started taking pictures while traveling, and now he travels to photograph:
- In search of plots, you have to travel around the region and beyond: Velsky district, Pinezhie, Onega peninsula, Kenozerye, as well as Khibiny, Karachay-Cherkessia, Elbrus. Thanks to my wife and friends who share my hobbies and are always ready to keep company.
The hunt for the sky is seasonal. Catching the Milky Way in the North is possible from August to October, when the white nights thicken into polar twilight. But already in October this "star road" gradually goes beyond the horizon and returns only in March.
