Russia - A federal school renovation program has been launched in Karelia

Russia (bbabo.net), - Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov launched a federal program for the overhaul of educational institutions in Karelia. The headquarters of parental public control of the country and regional headquarters created throughout Russia will provide the necessary support in the implementation of this project.

The new program was presented at the secondary school N 1 of the Shuya village. The main building of the educational institution was built here in 1968, two buildings for preschool groups - in 1959. Old buildings are in need of major repairs.

This year, it is planned to overhaul the roof, facades, ventilation systems and automatic fire alarm systems, and next year - water and power supply and heating systems. From the federal budget, 98 million rubles will be allocated for repairs, as well as for the purchase of modern educational equipment and technology for the Shuya school. Design and estimate documentation and a positive conclusion of the state examination for overhaul are already ready.

And there are many similar old buildings in Karelia. The program has already been distributed over the years. In the first two, 21 buildings in 18 educational institutions will be put in order. Facades, roofs and utilities will be renovated here.

- In 2022, the republic will be allocated a little more than one billion rubles, in the next - 443.5 million, - noted the Minister of Education and Sports of the region Roman Golubev. - In just five years, 70 buildings in 51 schools will be renovated.

And throughout the Russian Federation, the school overhaul program will cover 1,306 facilities in 79 regions of the country.

The Minister also noted the experience of Karelia in the development of rural areas, repair and modernization of schools in the North, which will be used to implement the federal program in the Arctic region of Russia.

Under the federal project, educational institutions will also receive updated classrooms, gyms, canteens and school stadiums.
