The largest sellers of liquefied gas in Kazakhstan suspected of price collusion

In the actions of six major sellers of liquefied gas in Kazakhstan, the authorities have identified signs of price collusion. These companies include KazMunayGas, Kazgermunai, CNPC-Aktobemunaigas and Kazakhoil. This was reported by TASS.

The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of Kazakhstan believes that there are signs of abuse of a dominant position in the market in the actions of companies. If the companies are proven guilty, they will be fined.

Earlier, the government of Kazakhstan, in accordance with instructions from President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, limited fuel prices for 180 days.

Let us remind you that in Kazakhstan in the early days of 2022, protests began due to an increase in the price for a liter of liquefied gas, which is used as fuel for cars. Now the country has a state of emergency.
