Five Syrian soldiers were killed in an attack by militants of the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia), SANA reports.

According to the source, 20 people were also injured as a result of a rocket attack on a military bus. The attack took place on January 2.

The bus was attacked in an area about 50 km east of the third station in the Syrian Badia Desert, it was accompanied by bursts from a 23-millimeter cannon, Syrian state television clarified.

According to Syrian media reports, attacks on buses are repeated on the Deir ez-Zor-Palmyra road, terrorists attack from the zone of control of the American occupation forces in the Al Tanf area, where the United States is supporting the militants.
