Russia (bbabo.net), - MegaFon has acquired a part of the business of one of the key partners in the development of digital products. The deal was implemented in the form of creating a joint venture, which will include the assets and a number of teams of the Quantum-A fund involved in MegaFon's projects.

MegaFon and the Quantum-A fund have created a joint venture, JSC Quantera, to which the specialists and part of the Quantum-A assets involved in the development of solutions for MegaFon will be transferred. MegaLabs acquired 50 percent in Quanter JSC for cash, another 50 percent belong to the Quantum-A fund. The deal was closed at the end of 2021.

In the new company, MegaFon will be responsible for the strategy and commercial component of products, and Quantera will become the main developer of solutions for MegaFon.

The Quantum-A Foundation is one of the key partners in the development of MegaFon's digital solutions, among the implemented projects are a group of geo-services, digital security products, as well as patented Deep-Tech services at the junction of VAS and the carrier's backbone network: intelligent call routing, VoLTE and other. The Fund is developing a number of AI and ML technology products for speech recognition and synthesis for MegaFon, and is also developing cloud solutions (CPaaS). The perimeter of the joint venture will include projects that have already been developed specifically for MegaFon.
