Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Marcin Przydacz said that the country had prepared a plan for the evacuation of diplomats from Ukraine, but no decision had yet been made.
“At the moment there is no such decision on the evacuation of Polish diplomats. At the same time, I will not hide the fact that we already have prepared plans and some time ago at the Foreign Ministry we studied all sorts of procedures, we are in contact so as not to run into surprises, ”he said on the air of Polish Radio.
The Deputy Minister also recalled that Poland has the largest diplomatic representation in Ukraine compared to other European countries - an embassy in Kiev, consulates in Odessa, Kharkov, Vinnitsa, Lvov, Lutsk.
“In a situation where it comes to a threat to our diplomats, we will react in a natural way,” he concluded.
Earlier, the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Australia announced plans to evacuate some of the employees of their embassies. According to the American diplomat, the US embassy in Kiev is being evacuated due to the "deployment" of Russian forces near the borders of Ukraine.
Since the autumn of last year, the Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have been claiming that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine. In Moscow, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.
