Russia, Iran and China work out joint actions against pirates

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - In the Gulf of Oman, the joint naval exercises CHIRU of the forces of Russia, Iran and China are in full swing.

Three ships are participating in the four-day maneuvers, which will end on Saturday, January 22, from the Russian side - the Varyag missile cruiser, the Admiral Tributs large anti-submarine ship and the Boris Butoma large sea tanker.

The report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation notes that, among other things, the sailors are engaged in artillery firing at a sea target, joint tactical maneuvering, and also work out search and rescue tasks at sea.
