The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, said that the country's army is ready for various scenarios of conflict on the border with Russia and on the line of demarcation in Donbass, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

He noted that Ukrainians should not panic. The military, together with allied forces, is monitoring movements near the border of Ukraine and keeping a “cold head” about what is happening, trying to reduce the risks for fellow citizens.

“Maintaining a balanced position is necessary in order to objectively assess the situation and achieve what is in our interests,” Yermak said.

According to him, foreign diplomats began to visit Ukraine more often, which indicates the presence of international support in the event of a destabilization of the situation on the border.

“We once again received assurances that there will be no questions regarding Ukraine without the participation of Ukraine. This also applies to our prospects for participation in the alliance and pan-European security,” summed up the head of the presidential administration, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Earlier, Zelensky told US senators who visited Kiev that imposing anti-Russian sanctions after a hypothetical Russian invasion does not make sense.
