Moldova - Speaker discussed with the Romanian Ambassador the priorities of the spring-summer session of Parliament

Moldova (bbabo.net), - Speaker of the Parliament Igor Grosu today met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Moldova Daniel Ionita. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Parliament. The officials exchanged views on a number of topical issues, such as the energy crisis, regional security, as well as the priorities of the Moldovan legislative forum for the near future, moldpres.md reports.

In the context of the discussions, Igor Grosu touched upon the intention of the authorities to provide all the necessary support to the citizens of our country in overcoming the energy crisis by introducing effective mechanisms.

Another topic touched upon was the situation in the field of regional security, the need for an open dialogue on this issue was emphasized.

“We express our openness to engage in and maintain dialogue on the basis of a well-prepared and solid agenda for maintaining peace, so that all citizens are safe,” said the chairman of parliament.

The interlocutors also discussed the process of preparing for the next Joint Meeting of the governments of the two countries, the officials spoke in favor of new cooperation in various fields.

“We are aimed at developing relations at the level of parliamentary commissions. And here I mean identifying infrastructure projects, strengthening business ties by encouraging foreign investors,” the speaker emphasized.

In this regard, Ambassador Daniel Ioniță spoke of Romania's openness in laying the foundations for strong cooperation for the benefit of all citizens.
