Russia - Volodin: The CSTO mission in Kazakhstan made it possible to avoid problems in other countries

Russia (bbabo.net), - For the CSTO, which unites six countries, what happened in Kazakhstan can be considered a new stage of development. The decision to send peacekeepers there helped to avoid problems in other countries. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Duma Viacheslav Volodin, commenting on the situation in the republic in his Telegram channel.

He stated that "terrorists, bandits, looters" took advantage of the peaceful protest caused by the rise in gas prices.

The speaker expressed deep condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, wished the victims to recover, and the people of Kazakhstan to return to normal life as soon as possible. Volodin recalled that, according to the latest information, the damage to the economy of Kazakhstan is estimated at $ 2-3 billion.

The decision of the leadership of the CSTO countries to send peacekeeping forces to protect key infrastructure in Kazakhstan, Volodin noted, made it possible to free local law enforcement officers. And they, in turn, were able to deal directly with ensuring the safety of civilians.

"Having averted the terrorist threat, we managed to avoid serious problems not only in our friendly Kazakhstan, but also in other countries," added the Chairman of the State Duma.

The organization, Volodin is sure, has shown that it can effectively solve difficult problems.

According to him, the position of China and other partners of the Russian Federation in the CSTO and SCO also contributes to stability in the region.

Speaking about the position of Washington, Volodin expressed the opinion that the US leadership would like the CSTO peacekeeping mission not to exist at all, so that the unstable situation on the territory of Kazakhstan persists.

“Humanitarian problems, human suffering, destruction of the state are secondary for Washington,” the speaker said. “The whole world saw this in the examples of NATO troops entering Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan without any appeals from their side. The peoples of these countries are still have since suffered the consequences of American intervention. "

According to Volodin, a lot will become clear in the near future, including where the terrorists came from and in whose interests.

According to the speaker, conclusions have to be drawn from the tragedy that happened in Kazakhstan so that "the technologies of the orange revolutions, acts of external aggression do not weaken the CSTO states and lead to upheavals in society, the economy, and the death of people."

In this direction, in his opinion, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly also has something to work on.
