Moldova (bbabo.net), - Vadim Cheban, Chairman of the Board of Moldovagaz JSC, explained in his Telegram channel that Moldovagaz operates at a loss. Ceban recalled that between the price paid by Moldovagaz to the supplier, as well as the price, at which gas is sold to the consumer, there is a significant difference.
"I would like to explain one very simple thing once again: today JSC Moldovagaz buys natural gas from a supplier at 647 US dollars per thousand cubic meters, and sells it to consumers (including industrial ones) at 430. Of course, the formula for calculating the tariff is more complicated, but the essence of the situation is expressed correctly - the company is forced to work at a loss,” wrote the head of Moldovagaz.
He stated the need to look for commercial solutions and noted that it may be necessary to apply to ANRE with a request to revise the tariff.
"Based on purely commercial considerations, which I have been guided by from the very beginning of my mandate as head of the Board of JSC Moldovagaz, in order to overcome the problem, we must also look for exclusively commercial solutions. I see this solution as an appeal to the regulator (ANRE) with a request to revise the tariff in in line with the real cost of natural gas on the market," Cheban added.
