Detroit Cobras singer dies at 37

Detroit Cobras vocalist Rachel Nagy has died at the age of 37, reports The Sun, citing guitarist Greg Cartwright.

The cause of the artist's untimely death is unknown. “More than a performer, she embodied the very spirit of music and carried it to new heights with the power of her voice. I wasn't the only one who was inspired by her vitality, strength, vulnerability," says Cartwright.

The Detroit Cobras were formed in 1994 and cover 1960s garage rock songs. The band released their first album, Mink, Rat, or Rabbit, in 1998, and their second, Life, Love, and Leaving, three years later. Members changed regularly in the team.

The musicians actively performed, but the last concert, scheduled for January 7, was canceled due to the spread of a new strain of coronavirus infection "omicron".
